Get on the climate change map

This is one for the Aussies. Nirvana has just sent through this link to a petition to the Australian government to make some positive changes towards climate change. They will use the basic information they get from campaigners to create a map of those concerned. Let's get as many people on that map as possible:
Put me on the Get Up map

And don't you Brits think you're getting out of it that easily either. There's an international climate change march happening on Saturday 4th November. For details on where the marches are happening and how to get involved, and of other climate change related campaigns check out www.campaigncc.org.

Aussies can check out www.walkagainstwarming.org for details of marches being organised in the major cities.

Check out http://www.reefuel.com/

One of the first bio diesel manufacturing plants is now operating in Narangba just outside of Brisbane.

Using Biodiesel in industry and government seems to be a practical way to reduce green house emissions and stop our dependance on overseas oil.

Thanks, that's interesting stuff.

We actually met a guy a few months ago who had converted his car engine to run on bio-fuel (not sure whether it was diesel or not) and he'd get the left-over cooking oil from fish and chip shops and restaurants and run his car on that. Saved himself heaps of money. Don't ask me any more about it though because I'm not entirely sure of the chemistry behind it or whether (or how) he treated the oil before using it.

Excellent - Eat more fish and chips and help the environment... of course by eating more fish and chips you should then probably walk and not use the car!

That's brilliant! Absolute genius! Eat more fish and chips and still get fit and do your bit for the environment. Fantastic. Of course, there's still the issue of too many female fish thanks to all the estrogen-like chemicals in the environment, thus threatening the survival of many fish species.

I'll just have chips then.
